Arkansas Arts Academy Dance department presents “Freedom Speaks” under the direction of dance instructor, Mr. Todd Belin. This Black History program will celebrate the contributions of Black people to American History through food, dance, music, spoken word, fashion and more. The goal of this event is to create inclusion, to encourage diversity, and to enhance the motive of arts integration in our school. The event will take place on February 15th 5:30pm - 8:30pm. The program will include performances by students and community artist as well as guest appearances by: Korto Momolu, Celebrity Fashion Designer and Project Runway All Star, Arkansas Gospel Chorale, Cody Davis NAACP Guest Speaker, Drekkia Writes Activist, Poet, Author and our Host Dominique Blake, Olympic Medalist and Entrepreneur .
