Symphony of Northwest Arkansas Concert
Where: Walton Arts Center
When: Jan. 7, 2023, 7:30pm
Who: Symphony of Northwest Arkansas
William Grant Still, the first Black composer (and Arkansan!) to be performed by a major symphony orchestra, is featured on SoNA’s upcoming concert Saturday January 7th Walton Arts Center, with his breathtakingly beautiful piece “Mother and Child”. Also on the program are works by Henryk Górecki and Leonard Bernstein – each piece explores the timeless bond between a mother and her child.
The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas will perform a cathartic, emotional program touching the core human experience – each piece will evoke the love that exists across time, between a mother and her child. Hear “Mother and Child” at the Walton Arts Center.
