ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Bedecked and bejeweled, the figures populating Dress Up, Speak Up occupy fluid space and time, evoking past and present, fact and fiction, memory and desire, to illuminate the complexity of contemporary identity. Whether clad in the stylized garb of Enlightenment-era Europe, the traditional coverings of ancient religious tradition, or the gender-bending bling of popular culture, these representations of self and other role-play in real time, reach back through history to address prevailing personal, social, and political challenges. Inspired by allegory, autobiography, art history, and fantasy, this pantheon of provocative and prophetic personages are adorned to confront, transform, and redefine cultural visibility.

🌟 Meet Dr. Jordan Harris! 🌟
A proud NWA transplant, Dr. Jordan is a men’s therapist and couples counselor who’s all about building strong families and even stronger teams. With three young boys, a wife, and his mom all under one roof, life at home is full — but filled with love.
Dr. Jordan knows counseling can feel intimidating, especially for men, but he encourages everyone to “test drive” a session — no judgment, no pressure. His goal? To help couples create the kind of bond where everyone has each other's back.
His advice for Black entrepreneurs in NWA? Tap into the wisdom of others — podcasts, books, and mentors can be game changers. One gem he's carried with him: “You can accomplish more than you think if you just work 20 minutes a day, every day.”
